Although I was born in Maryland, both of my parents were born and raised in Tucker County. My father lived in Douglas, and my mother lived in Montrose. My husband and I worked hard to be able to return to WV which we always felt was our true home. We have raised five children here, and we cannot see ourselves anywhere else.
I feel blessed to be part of Tucker County Schools. I hold several degrees from different colleges and universities. I first earned my B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. Next, I earned an A.A. in nursing. After moving to WV, I got a Masters in Communication, a certification in Biology, a Masters Level Certification in Reading, and a Masters level certification in Administration. My passion is education; I strive to continue learning. I truly believe, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ― Nelson Mandela
